You Don't Know
One of the first songs I wrote as a Christian. God began to show me how often I refused to go to Him when I was hurting, ultimately because of a lack of belief in His love for me. I was still trying to "get it all together" so that I could present myself to Him in a somewhat respectable manner - who can do that??
Let Me Wake
We all go through seasons of getting distracted by the cares and concerns of this world. God, in His goodness and mercy, not only shows us that we have lost our "first love," but also gives us a desire to love Him passionately, as He loves us.
One Thing I Know
This song is my theme song. The truth of God's unchanging, unconditional love; His intimate knowledge of me and tender care for me; and the promise that I will see Him face to face, completely overwhelm me!
Found By Love
This song tells the story of my longing to be found by love. We continue to try to fill the desires of our hearts in the wrong way, but God knows what we really need. Through Jesus Christ, He fills every desire.
Psalm 103
Written by a friend, I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. God's loves reaches to the heavens and causes our sins to be cast from us as far as the east is from the west.
I'll Fly Away
I've sung this song for years. When it came time to record it for this CD, I was filled with a longing and a sadness...a longing to "fly away" and be with God, and a mournful sadness because my brother Tim had gone ahead of me and I missed him terribly. I will see him again.
